Iason Hellenic Shipping Co. Ltd (IHS) has reached an agreement with Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Co. Ltd in China for the construction of an 82,000 dwt Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel to be delivered in Q2 2012. Hull Nr. 620 has been designed and will be constructed under the auspices of Lloyd’s Register of Shipping.


The vessel will be managed by IHS, will be registered under the Maltese flag and it is expected to be deployed primarily in coal trades servicing the buoyant Chinese demand for coal.
